The Corbett Literature Festival Successfully Concluded On Day-3 Of It’s Celebration

The Corbett Literature Festival organized by Corbett Tiger Reserve, celebrated from 6th of October to 8th of October 2026 concluded successfully on its day 3. Organized on the mesmerizing landscape of Ramnagar, this event brought together prominent authors, artists, wildlife conservationists and policy makers together under the theme ‘Three Days In The Wild’.

This festival was designed as a combination of cultural and environmental gathering. It took place in three different premier resort venues in the region which offered the multiple beautiful locations to the attendees.

Day 1: Stories of Nature

• Venue: Riverview Retreat Resort, Dhikuli

Day 1 of Corbett Literature Festival held on October 6 at the River View Retreat Resort located on the side banks of Kosi River. The Chief guest for the inaugural ceremony on the day 1 was Uttarakhand’s Forest Minister, Shri Subodh Uniyal.

He addressed the attendees by emphasizing on the critical role of literature and storytelling in making the public aware and conscious about the human wildlife coexistence and forest conservation. The day 1 or opening day themed as ‘Stories of Nature’ had panel discussions on topics highlighting Uttarakhand’s heritage, Himalayan ecology, local folklore and nature photography. And the day one concluded with a beautiful musical performance in the evening that went well with the theme.

Day 2: All Things Wild

• Venue: Aahana Resort Corbett

The day two of the Corbett Literature Festival commenced on October 7, where the chief guest was Jubin Nautiyal, the renowned Indian playback singer. It took place in Aahana Resort with the theme ‘All Things Wild’.

Jubin Nautiyal’s participation brought joy, enthusiasm, and happiness in the event. The day two was a beautiful combination of music, art, nature conservation, and enjoyment. It was not just a day of enjoyment, but of great brainstorming as the session throughout the day featured discussions on topics like tiger conservation, urban wildlife challenges, ecological restoration, regional traditions, foods and much more. Writers and conservation experts from different corners of India shared their insightful thoughts on topics of current importance related to the wildlife.

Day 3: People, Places and The Wild

• Venue: The Golden Tusk Resort & Spa

The day three or the grand finale took place on October eighth at the beautiful Golden Tusk Resort and Spa with the theme ‘People, Places, and the Wild’. It was a day filled with thoughtful discussions about environmental policy and execution as a distinguished panel of chief guests attended the grand finale.

Dr. Samir Sinha (Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Uttarakhand Forest Department) attended this eve as a chief guest. During his address, he threw light on the importance of community led initiatives to manage forests in the Himalayas.

Dr. Dipankar Ghose (Director – Species & Landscapes, WWF-India) was also the chief guest on the day three and he shared strategic insights from field conservation projects and he talked about preserving endangered species.

Mr. Praveen Pardeshi (IAS) (Chief Economic Advisor to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra) was also the chief guest for the day three and he discussed about sustainable development where there is a balance between economic development and environmental sustainability.

After the insightful discussions and addresses, the day 3 festival closed with poetry, classical music, and a gala dinner, making it a successful three-day festival for the entire northern India. Looking at the success of the event, the authorities of Corbett Tiger Reserve decided to continue hosting this event every year.
