Forest departs in search of injured tiger in Corbett's Phato Zone

Corbett Online 18 February 2023

Two tigers in the Corbett Phato Zone got into a fight on This week, which resulted in one of them being injured and later being reported missing. The injured tiger may be dangerous and hurt anyone, therefore the forest department and rescue team worked together to find him starting that day. The tiger spent hours in the same location on the first day, and on the second day, the search and rescue team looked for the injured tiger for 30 kilometers in the direction of the Phato Zone Safari route with the aid of various vehicles, gypsies, the rescue team, and forest department personnel. Because the tiger is injured and might be dangerous, the authorities alert the locals about the attack. The department placed the cameras in the safari's route to record its movement for safety reasons.

In order to protect guests, safari activities have been temporarily prohibited in the Phato Zone of Corbett National Park. After the tiger is discovered, he will be brought to the rescue centre, where if he is in excellent health, activities will resume as usual.
